Everyday: Lips

I know, I have been gone for way too long if you noticed :(
My computer at home is still ruined, so I just check on my ipod, but I'm too lazy to update because of it's bad camera...
I am at my boyfriends now so I have a little bit of time to update!

I will be talking about my favourite lip products that I use on a regular almost daily bases!

Nivea: Milk and Honey, LipIce Water Colour: Kissy Pink, Maybelline Baby Lips: Mango Pie, Softlips: Vanilla and  Etude House Lip Tint: Follow Me.

I'll talk about the three balms first:
I have just recenlty purchased the Nivea lip balm and have fell in love with it, the colour, the packaging and the smell are all lovely. I apply this every hour when I have it because it is addicting! Not too sticky and not too shiny on the lips!
This is my newest Baby Lips! I own 5 of them. The packaging is really what draws me in.. the colors are all so cute and sweet, which compliment the smell very well. They can be a bit sticky, but I try not too apply too much!
The Softlips are the most amazing product ever. They are in no way sticky on the lips, they smell amazing: exactly like vanilla, and have SPF20. They also have that cooling menthol feeling when you put them on. I gave one of these to my brother because he was whining about dry lips and he used it all within a week because it was that good! Dry lips are all gone!

Lip Balms are what I hoard. I buy them because of the packaging or smell, and I never use any of them up before I buy more. These are just the ones I keep in my makeup bag I carry, I have plenty more at home!!

The two tinted ones. I did a review on the Etude house one here.

I bought the LipIce while I was in Singapore thinking it would be similar to the Etude House Lip Tint... Oh how I was wrong. It isn't like a lip tint at all, but more like a VERY moisturising lip stick. The colour isn't 'kissy pink' but more or a pinky coral.

As you can see the colour is a lot more pigmented compared to the Etude house tint.

What is great about these is that it has the qualities of a great lip balm or moisturiser, but with the added colour. It is very pigmented and stays on for a few hours, which means no drying like some lip sticks!
I'm hoping to go to either Singapore, Malaysia or Hong Kong at the end of the year so I will definatly pick up some more colours from this range. They are very cheap! I think I got mine for S$4, which is only like $3 here or something :D

Do you guys have a lip product you take everywhere with you? Or even too many than needed?

Nail favourites!

As someone who has just recently stopped biting there nails, I have become obsessed with nail polish even more. I need to wear nail polish otherwise I feel like I am just going to bite them... if I wear it I think 'They are way too pretty to be ruined!' while staring lovingly at the colours.
I used to buy nail polish about 4 years ago to put on my stubs. My collection was full of cheap, bright colours from The Face Shop. Sad to say, I stopped using them and they all dried up. Even while biting them I would still buy some cheap ones if I really loved the colours.

At the start of the year I had around 15... since about 2 months ago, it has doubled! Okay, 30 doesn't seem like lots but I am unemployed and have no money so I get all happy every time I buy just 1!!

Out of all of them, I chose my 8 favourites to show you my readers! :D

Tony Moly (not sure of the colour code or name) Mint Green?, Rimmel Lasting Finish in Strawberry Fizz, Canmake (again, no idea..) Blood orangey colour?, O.P.I. in Gone Gonzo!

Rimmel 60 Seconds in Instyle Coral, Ulta3 in Lollypop Lilac, MaxFactor Mini in Diva Violet, Revlon Polish in Girly.

Do mind the mess and also the little bits of stringy things... it's from the cotton wool when I used the remover!
In terms of colour, these are my favourites. I love bright, pastel and shiny colours!

Tony Moly: It takes around 3 coats to become opaque and chooses when it wants to work well -.- but I love the colour so I don't mind about the hassle!
Strawberry Fizz: The colour is adorable and application is easy, not to sticky consistency and only needs 2 coats.
Canmake: Almost opaque after one coat! Easy to apply and no hassle, however the colour can be too bright  sometimes :)
Gone Gonzo: Needs 3 coats for full effect. Is a bit sticky. I think it is better suited as a top coat over a light blue! Difficult to remove with nail polish remover.
Instyle Coral: I had a coral obsession and this one delivers perfectly. Not too bright and brush is easy to apply. Needs 2+ coats.
Lollypop Lilac: Lovely sweet pink colour. Easy to apply with 2 coats. Isn't very chip resistant :(
Diva Violet: Deep violet colour. Applies easily though not opaque until 3 coats. Chips easily though!
Girly: Silvery pink tint, applies smoothly with no streaks in 2 coats. Chip resistant, however difficult to remove with nail polish remover.

I love all these colours, and I will continue to wear them despite the little set backs. It is very difficult to make the perfect nail polish so it doesn't bother me!

What's your favourite nail polish? Have you tried any of my choices?

Wishlist #3

Here we are again! I have my fingers crossed I get a job in the next few weeks, so I am starting to think of what I reallly want again.

1. EOS Lip Balm.
A lot of bloggers have this and I have heard so many great reviews, so it is killing me that I am not the owner of one yet! They are just so cute and it is Winter here soon so my lips are going to need some loving from this product!
2. Chanel Nail Polish in Peridot.
There is something about this... If you explained it to me I would cringe, but I am hypnotised by the colour. I am hoping I can find a nice dupe sometime soon, since I have read there are a few... I'm just not sure about Australia having them yet! Or I can get my boyfriend to buy it for me a bit cheaper in France or something!

3. Tony Moly Skin Fit Snow Blusher.
I am not a fan of bronzers, and I own hardly any blush.. the ones I do own are all powder! Hence I really want to try this blusher by Tony Moly. The colours look great and it is a cream blusher so it appeals to me more!

The list goes on...
What are you really wanting right now??

Mini Haul

My first official 'haul post'! I don't know if it's just me, but I really enjoy looking at other peoples hauls.. I even have a tag on tumblr so I can look at ones from random people. I find it a great way to find out about new products or fashion! :)

So mine is a mix of 2 days... I will put them together though because there is hardly anything -.-

I bough the essence nail polish in the colour 'absolutely blue' for about $2.50 at Target. I heard the polishes are fairly good quality and I just loved the colour... it looks purpley but it actually more blue.
The two Maxfactor polishes I bought from Priceline. They were 2 for 1 (BOGOF) at around $6 each and I purchased the colours 'Ivory' and 'Diva Violet'. The colours go so well together... They have a small collection of 6 and every single colour goes so well together.

I originally bought Burgundy and Dark Ash Blonder Revlon Colorsilk hair dye, however I used the Dark Ash Blonde and then wanted to go lighter, so with a voucher (which I will mention later) I went back and got the Medium Ash Blonde to try! These are on sale at Priceline right now for about $10!  And let's all hope my hair turns out a light colour like that... but maybe not THAT blonde.

The Head and Shoulders Shampoo and Conditioner is probably one of my favourites, especially sometimes when I get realllllllllllly bad dandruff... so I was ecstatic to pick this up from Target for only $4.50 or something! One alone usually costs $6... bargain!
I also picked up the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Anti-Breakage Shampoo and Conditioner for $3.50 a pop at Priceline! I knew I would be dying my hair.. so I felt these might help out a bit if my hair gets too stressed... hopefully it calms it down!

Who doesn't love dry shampoo? I bought this one because it is Australian (I help out sometimes I promise), Cedel does great hairspray so I thought I would try this... also I run out of dry shampoo so fast because I have too much hair! I bought it on special (like everything I buy) for I think around $6 at Priceline

The reason I bought more than usual for someone with hardly any money is because at Priceline there is a special offer that I mentioned in my last post! If you spend $40 or more on selected hair care brands you receive a bag or hair care goodies priced at over $185! To get to $40 I bought the 2 hair dyes, shampoo and conditioner, dry shampoo and some hair ties! What you receive in the bag is various Shampoos, maracon oil, hair treatment, dry conditioner and a few other nifty things! There is a voucher to purchase the Revlon hair dye for free in store, which I think is a good idea as you get to choose the colour that you want and aren't just given a random one!

What do you think??  Is there anything you like that you see? :)

Perfect Serum BB Cream!

One of the first Asian skincare products I fell in love with was Canmake! I was looking through a Japanese magazine back in 2009 and saw that their products were cheap and adorable.. and I have always found that Western brands lack cuteness. So when I was in Japan last year I made the most of  grabbing some cheap products, since getting them shipped to Australia makes them mid price range and I didn't want to wait.

I bought myself the Perfect Serum BB Cream! I bought it for 800yen, which is around A$10 I believe!

Website picture and real product. The real one has shiny packaging :)

What I really love is the packaging that doesn't look cheap at all despite the price. All of their products look like really good quality.

Most BB creams I have promise the same thing, but Canmake went all out with this one!
Contains 21 types of beautifying and moisturizing ingredients ♥

Hyaluronic acid, collagen, ceramides, royal jelly extract, witch-hazel extract, arbutin, Job's tears extract, Saxifraga stolonifera extract, aloe vera extract, artichoke leaf extract, cherry leaf extract,
prune resolvent, seaweed extract, soybean extract, glycosyl trehalose, gingko extract, peach leaf extract, hydrolyzed silk, European white birch bark extract, multiflora rosehip extract

Now I am not sure about what half of those do, but it really does sound like it isn't doing anything negative to your skin, and maybe even improving it. It is also SPF50, which is amazing! It is also paraben-free, alcohol-free, mineral oil-free, tar-based pigment-free, and fragrance free. I can vouch for the no smell, I can't smell anything!

Before and after applying. My freckle is almost gone, and it blends into any light skintones really well.

Most of the time when I use it, it is as a base or even concealer as not a lot of product is needed for well rounded coverage and hiding skin imperfections!
I am using the lightest colour, and it is even a bit too light for me, but blends really well so it isn't too obvious. The product is also quiet heavy, and gives off a matte finish.

However, even though I have quite dry skin, I thought that since it has high SPF it would be more moisturising than it is. I find it drys out my face a little, but that is only some times when my face wants to be annoying and dry.

Altogether I love it, the packaging, the price and how wells it works. I have bought BB creams for double the price that don't work as well! It is also great as it has a few different uses depending on what you feel like, whether you want a concealer, base or full foundation!

I would definitely use this again, and I hope next time I go to Japan I can buy more products from Canmake, as I also love their nail polishes!

Have you heard of Canmake?? What do you think?? :)

Terracotta

This is something I never thought I would own: Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in Blonde 01. Such a mouthful!
I actually got this as a gift from my boyfriend at Christmas time, and well I wasn't... let's say ecstatic... back then since I never wear bronzers and he spent a lot on this! I think Myer here in Australia sells it for over $70! I came to slowly love it though... he made a good choice! He is French so he went with French Makeup!

I love the packaging, it looks high end like it should, with attention to small detail under the shell! However, It would be more practical to come with a small brush so that you can carry it around in your bag. There is a special brush they sell that goes with it however... (Which I hear is great but not so cheap)

I am happy he chose blonde because it is much lighter and my skintone is very very light, so when applied it doesn't look orange or muddy, and I am scared the Brunette would be much to dark.

It blends smoothley and can be customised to your choice, if you want it to be darker apply using more of the brown/shimmer section, or if you want a peachier light colour, use the pinker section.
It is also quite sheer as the name suggests so you can build up to how much cover you want.

I have also read people describing the smell as 'old lady' smell, but I happened to like it and it doesn't stay with you.

For someone like me who doesn't really like bronzers, I am happy to say using this changes my mind. I sometimes use it all over my face to give a nice glow, even on my eyelids to add some natural shimmer, as well as a light bronzer.

Would I repurchase though? I'm not sure. As much as I love it, it is out of my price range. I am sure I could find a very similar one for a much lower price. This should last me a long time though, so maybe I will learn to be dependant on it and become rich to afford it! :P

Have you tried anything by Guerlain? What did you think?

Follow Me Lip Tint~

When I did the What's In My Bag I answered the question 'If you could get a lifetime supply of one product, what would it be?' and I chose Etude House 2NE1 Follow Me Lip Tint/Gloss

I bought this around a year and a half ago from a small shop in the city... I paid a ridiculous amount for it, something like $20 when it is around $6 on amazon or ebay... though I didn't regret it!
This product is by South Korean brand Etude House and advertised by one of the biggest girl groups 2NE1, it was released back in 2010.

This is what mine looks like now. That is how much I have left, and the packaging has lost its pink design. I used to use this everyday as having pink lips brings out my eyes and makes me feel pretty ^^
but now I don't want to waste it until I get a new one, so I savor the use!

Whn it is applied, it is almost clear and actually becomes brighter over a minute or so. The more layers you put on, the brighter the fuchsia pink will become. In the above photo I am wearing around 2 layers.

Though it is a tint it works just as well as a lipgloss, but without the sticky feeling! It goes on smooth and moisturises really well almost like a chapstick I guess.
It contains SPF13 and lasts a few hours, though the tint stays on longer than the gloss, which helps to add colour to your lips even after 3 or so hours.

For the low price (not here obviously T_T) I did not expect long lasting colour, but in terms of quality it is really good for what you pay.. actually even better!

I need to buy a new one soon! I can't imagine my life without it~
I will leave you now with a dong called 'I Am The Best' by 2NE1, for those of you who haven't heard of them, this song sums up what they are about, and that is being fierce and confident women!

What do you think? Have you heard of Etude House before? Let me know in the comments! :)
